I was introduced to the healing arts in my early 20s (1997) in Mexico by the ocean. I was sent under the guidance of Sunday Myers, a Bodywork Chiropractor from New York. During my 3-year apprenticeship, I fell in love with Sports Massage, Yoga, and Breathwork. I created a simple, abundant life for myself in the tropics as a young surfer.
I was also fortunate to begin studying the traditional Mexica Temazcal Sweat Lodge through Andres Orvananos, whom I sat with monthly for over 20 years. The lodge brought me into my voice and my heart's prayer.
In the year 2000, I invited the Founder of Transformational Breathing, Dr. Judith Kravitz, to offer her Trainings in Los Cabos, Mexico. The same year, I connected with my yoga teacher Shiva Rea.
For several years, I was devoted to yoga and breathwork. I became a Sr. Trainer of the Transformational Breath Foundation and a traveling yoga assistant to the Prana Vinyasa Yoga community of Shiva Rea.
With a medicine bundle of Breath, Massage, Alphabiotics, (another 4 year deep dive in an applied philosophy of Quantum Physics), Yoga, and some shamanism, I founded Baja Wellness in 2008 and opened a Studio in Jose del Cabo.
In 2010, Grandmother Ayahuasca arrived in our community through a dear late brother named Rodolfo Salomon, who was given a blessing by the ComunIndios community in Southern Brazil. Grandmother became our greatest teacher after my dear medicine sister, Luna Itzel, and I met on this first encounter. She was asked to hold and serve our community with my support. We accepted and did so for 9 years together until I met my wife in Costa Rica and eventually returned to live in Canada and start a family.
Grandmother Aya always reminded me that my medicine is Breath. The Breath has been the greatest medicine for my own healing and has become the most joyous expression of my soul's purpose in service to the people.
My current passion is teaching teachers and co-creating intentional villages. I am a Sr. Teacher Trainer and Founder of Breathwave, a Doctor of Divinity, and a humble guardian of the earth with many other certifications and initiations. I place women and children at the center and continue to learn from the wisdom keepers that hold me, especially my family and community. I am currently a guest in the Cowichan Coast Salish Territory and gratefully collaborating with local Indigenous elders.
Listening and reflecting the light that burns in our hearts has become my greatest virtue. I am a student and a brother to everyone I meet.
My vision for the future is a world where everyone has remembered the innate magic of free energy. I see us weaving our interconnectedness through our communities, practices, medicines, and rituals to the regenerative power of love. Nature herself is regenerative.
